Hospital Visit
August 13th turned out to be an unlucky day for poor little Braden. At around 4:30 he was climbing on an old entertainment center that we have sitting behind our couches in our basement just minding his own buisness when all of the sudden we heard a big thud and then screaming. I thought that it was just another one of his many falls and expected to kiss his owie and that would be that. When I picked him up a broken arm was the last thing I expected but, when I saw the tangled mess where his arm used to be I had no doubt that it was broken. So... without saying more than a couple words to each other, Jason and I rushed him to the hospital where we were told that he had a very bad break just above his elbow and that they were sending us to the hospital in Pocatello. When we got to the hospital in Poky surgery was waiting for him and all we had to do was sign a few papers and send him off. That was tough. He was so scared to be sent alone with strangers and he yelled for mommy and daddy the whole way. He was in surgery for about an hour and then finally the nurse came and told us everything was ok. It was so hard seeing my little baby in so much pain. It took all I had to keep from crying, but I knew that if he saw me cry he would get scared. They told us that he needed to stay over night but he would be able to leave in the morning if everything went as planned. So... the next morning we packed up and headed home. He is doing so well now. He is still in a lot of pain but he is already trying to climb all over things. He is getting used to only having one hand... even though he isn't very coordinated with just one. Hopefully in about 4 weeks he will be back to his normal self. I will just have to make sure he is a bit more careful!

Island Park
What a fun vacation! Just last week our family went to Island Park with Jason's fam for a few days. Our vacation consisted of West Yellowstone, Yellowstone, hot tubbing and lots and lots of fun and food! Braden absolutely loved all of the added attention he got from Jason's family and I absolutely loved all the extra hands to help keep him occupied. Carter didn't really care what we did as long as there was food!
